The Opportunity
The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks qualified faculty to join the Department of Tourism, Events and Attractions. Multiple 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer positions are being filled. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the credentials, background, and experience of the candidates. All positions have an expected start date of August 8, 2023.
The selected candidates will develop and instruct various courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels in the field of entertainment management. All aspects of entertainment management are to be considered although expertise in one or more of the following are highly desirable: digital marketing and social media; entertainment technologies; electronic gaming; entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry; virtual forms of entertainment; the music industry and management of the performing arts. Incumbents will participate in university, college, and department committees; maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners, and establish strong outreach programs for faculty and students.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned master’s degree (instructor) or a doctoral degree (lecturer) from an accredited institution by time of appointment with specialization in Hospitality/Tourism, Business, Event, Entertainment Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in one or more of the following are highly desirable:
- Digital marketing and social media.
- Entertainment technologies.
- Electronic gaming.
- Entrepreneurship and the entertainment industry.
- Virtual forms of entertainment.
- The music industry and management of the performing arts.
